Although for many, looking away whilst having ink done, is the only way to get through the adrenalin rush of the experience, for the aptly nicknamed ‘Pauly Unstoppable’ from Toronto, USA, looking away was never an option

Mr. Unstoppable was the first person in the world to receive an experimental ‘eyeball tattoo’ – a remarkable and historic procedure that involved some 40 insertions in order to make one of his eye’s completely blue. Pigment was injected under the top layer of his eye using a syringe as the traditional needle with ink didn’t hold, forcing the quick change in apparatus and application.
Before the freaky procedure, the eyeball was uncharted territory when exploring body modification. The top three most painful places to get a tattoo were, in third place; the eyebrows (getting close though), followed by an eye-watering close second of the genitalia and in a popular first, the ankle or top of the foot.
Mr. Unstoppable’s post-op words to the world were maybe as indelible as the very tattoo itself: “Now that the experiment has been started, please wait for us to either heal or go blind before trying it.”

Within the wonderful world of tattooing the boundary has been crossed and a new benchmark has been set. What this space to find out what is next for the modification junkie…Tattoo fashion will certainly be keeping an eye (!) on him!
